The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will be held Thursday morning and some area faces will be involved in the event.

  • The Pride of Oklahoma will be in New York City. The OU band has been practicing for weeks for their first trip to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. They're marching between the Cornucopia float and the Mister Potato Head balloon.


  • Macy's hand-selected Rawnie Gordon's grandkids to be in the parade. They're dad is headed to Iraq. The Navy nominated families to be part of the parade before their parents were deployed.


  • The Cherokee Youth Choir from Tahlequah will be performing as part of the parade. They'll share songs from their award-winning album that was released last month.


  • Two high schoolers from Muskogee County will be marching with the Great American Band, which leads off the parade.


The parade can be seen on The News On 6 at 10 a.m.
