Three men accused of using the interstate to move 400 pounds of marijuana were arrested on Wednesday morning. Authorities seized $600,000 worth of the drug in Oklahoma City.
The marijuana was in duffels bags individually wrapped, marked, shipped and transported to Yukon in a horse trailer. Investigators say the drugs were likely headed to Canadian County, courtesy of a Mexican cartel.
“It is not uncommon to see cocaine, meth and marijuana in some of the same vehicles that are coming up,†said Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics’ Mark Woodward.
Authorities also recovered $10,000 in cash and some metal boxes in a pickup truck. They plan to open the boxes next week after they're dusted for fingerprints.
