Tulsa families will have food for the Thanksgiving holiday thanks to the generosity of groups like Crow and Dunlevey and the Bank of America.
Their donations on Monday to the John 3:16 Mission at 516 North Cheyenne will provide more than 10,000 meals to Tulsans in need. On Monday alone, more than 1,200 families picked up their Thanksgiving meals.
"According to the people we're talking to today, they would not have had a Thanksgiving dinner if somebody didn't help them provide it. I think it makes a huge difference in their lives,†said Rev. Steve Whitaker with the John 3:16 Mission.
The John 3:16 Mission plans to feed nearly 60,000 people in its five day long Great Thanksgiving Banquet.
