A Tulsa couple is counting their blessings after losing a $60,000 diamond ring on vacation. Just when they'd given up hope of ever seeing it again, there came an amazing display of honesty from more than a thousand miles away. News On 6 anchor Jennifer Loren reports the Ryan’s and Pitts have been friends for some time, but the diamond ring has brought them even closer.

The ring was a 10-year anniversary gift from Jackie's husband. But, she lost it while the two couples were visiting Kansas City for the Garth Brooks’ concert.

"And it got really cold, and so I kept putting my hands in my pocket and taking them out, and putting them in and taking them out, and on one of those it just flew off,” said Jackie Ryan.

The couples searched the streets of Kansas City for hours finally giving up around 3 a.m.

"I was bawling. Yes, I was pretty much out of control,” said Jackie Ryan.

Little did they know another couple had already found the ring.

"Chelsea kind of stopped short and bends down and picks up the ring and kind of looked at it for a minute. It was real dirty. She almost threw it down,” said Ryan Hidalgo.

"I thought it was a piece of costume jewelry. I was like there's no way and I almost threw it down and then I was like wait a minute this is really heavy,” added Chelsea Favero.

Chelsea and Ryan were also in Kansas City for the Garth Brooks concert. But as soon as it was over, they flew back home to Salt Lake City, Utah. They had the ring appraised and thought they were sitting on a gold mine.

"It's kind of hard to keep those thoughts out of our mind. Cause where are we ever going to get that much money at one time? Yeah, when are we ever see that much money ever again?" said Ryan Hidalgo.

But about that time, Jackie's friend Becky Pitts was typing up a lost and found ad on CraigsList.com.

"And I got to work the next morning and checked my e-mail and I sat there for probably five minutes and I'm like, this has got to be a joke," said Becky Pitts.

Chelsea and Ryan were actually looking for the owners of the ring and they found them.

"I called her and told her find me the soonest flight out. And she did. Salt Lake City, Utah,” said Martin Ryan.

Jackie's husband flew all day to retrieve their anniversary ring, but not before it brought Chelsea and Ryan a little luck.

"And she would sit there and stare at it and I'm like you're not going to get one like that, but hopefully she'll wear this one and look at it the same way, Chelsea will you marry me?” asked Ryan Hidalgo.

"It's amazing to realize that there are people, you know, that are still so honest. That, you know, they are so young and have been raised right and have the morals that they're willing to find who that ring belonged to and give it back to the right person,” said Martin Ryan.

"It's just the right thing to do. You've gotta put good karma out there for it to come back to you, so you just gotta do the right thing,” said Ryan Hidalgo.

The couple bought a shiny new grill for their friends who put the ad on Craig's List. Plus, they offered to help pay for Ryan and Chelsea's honeymoon. But, Ryan and Chelsea say they won't accept any money from the Ryan’s. They were just doing the right thing.
