The first Vision 2025 street project kicked off Monday in Tulsa.

Tulsa mayor Bill LaFortune and other city officials broke ground Monday afternoon on the widening project at the intersection of 61st and Garnett.

Vision 2025 monies will pay to widen the intersection 500 feet to the east to US Highway 169.

County money will be used to widen 61st to 145th East Avenue.
