Tulsa Police say a bank robber carried out his crime so smoothly Saturday that some people inside the bank didn't even realize what was happening.
Officers say the man walked into the Bank of America near 71st and US Highway 169 and told the teller not to push the alarm. The robber implied he had a weapon, took some money, and left. No one was hurt. Officers say that's probably because the bank teller gave the man the money - which is exactly what they recommend.
Sgt. Mark Watson, Tulsa Police: "You never know if he does have a weapon or not and if they're desperate enough to come in and rob a bank, they're desperate enough to pull a gun out and use it."
Tulsa Police say the suspect is a white man in his late sixties. He's tall and thin and was last seen wearing a white shirt and a white hat with a green brim. Officers say he matches the description of the suspect in several other bank robberies, but they're not sure yet if it's the same person.
