EAST HANOVER, N.J. (AP) _ Nabisco has recalled some of its ``Carry Me Pack'' boxes of Mini Oreo Chocolate Cookies because the bags inside may contain Ritz Bits Cheese Sandwiches.
The cookie and cracker producer, which is owned by Kraft Foods, distributed the product to B-J's Wholesale Club stores in the eastern United States. The mislabeled product was distributed in 16 states, including North Carolina.
The New Jersey-based company says fewer than two-thousand cartons may have the Ritz Bits, which are made with milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they eat the treats.
Nabisco says no other Mini Oreo or Ritz Bits products were part of the recall, and there is no health risk for consumers who are not allergic to milk.
