A Tulsa Police officer is recovering after being beaten during a fight at a Tulsa apartment complex. His accused attacker is behind bars.

Officers arrested 18-year-old Isreal Monroy[pictured] at the Town Square Apartments Monday night. He was booked on assault and battery charges and public drunkenness. It started when officers responded to call just after 10 PM.

They found Monroy on the ground and another person standing over him. When an officer tried to check on Monroy, they say he jumped up off the ground and hit the officer.

The officer suffered a broken tooth and facial injuries, but we have been told he will be fine.
