Oklahoma universities are getting their highest marks ever when it comes to enrollment. OU has more than 31,000 students enrolled this year. About 300 more than last year.
OSU's 32,000 students is a new record for the school. It’s the same story at the University of Tulsa. It's enrolled the largest freshman class in more than a decade. And overall enrollment is up more than 2%.
The trend has folks from all over the country checking out Oklahoma universities. Earl Johnson, TU Admissions Dean: "I think word is starting to get out about the high academic experiences we offer here at Tulsa."
Parent Lisa Morgan: "The college counseling center at her school just raves about this school I mean it’s at the top of their list. I mean there are lots of good schools, but they really speak highly of this."
Some say the improving economy is driving the college enrollment boom.
