Tulsa Police are investigating the death of a man beaten with a baseball bat.

Authorities were called to the Tulsa Regional Medical Center around 11:30 PM Thursday when 43-year-old Leon Benton was brought in by two of his friends. He had been severely beaten.

After questioning his friends, officers were led to a house in west Tulsa. Tulsa Police Sgt John Adams: "At this point we really don't know what went down inside the house. Supposedly there was a fight. The victim was hit one time with a baseball bat. Was transported by his friends to the hospital where he died".

Benton was pronounced dead just before midnight.

A 20-year-old man was questioned by police. Tulsa Police are still investigating.
