OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ While most people enjoy the food at the Oklahoma State Fair, those who don't will be able to complain quickly.
More than two dozen health inspectors will be on duty throughout the 11-day run of the fair. And a new cell phone hot line has been set up for fairgoers who have complaints or questions about food. The number is 405-550-5069.
More than 125 food and drink locations with more than 500 vendors will be open Thursday, the first day of the fair. The fair will run through September 26th.
A spokeswoman for the fair says all vendors are at designated sites that are inspected before the fair begins and then regularly monitored.
Street vendors and peddlers aren't allowed.
Health officials say inspectors treat the fairgrounds as one big restaurant, monitoring temperatures and watching for any cross-contaminations.
