An Oklahoma judge has denied a change of venue request for an ex-firefighter accused of killing a state trooper.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper Nikky Green was gunned down when he checked on a suspicious vehicle last December in southern Oklahoma. Prosecutors allege Ray Malone and Green struggled before Malone got the trooper's gun and shot him.

Malone's attorneys wanted the trial moved because of pre-trial publicity. But the judge said an impartial jury can be seated.
