SAPULPA, Okla. (AP) _ Sapulpa Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident.

Police say Judy Diaz was killed Wednesday evening at the intersections of Oklahoma Highways 66 and 117.

Detective Fred Clark says a pickup truck heading east on Highway 66 collided with Diaz's car as she was trying to turn left onto Highway 117. The impact knocked her vehicle off the highway and into a nearby golf course.

The 52-year-old Diaz was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck, 64-year-old Jerry Winters of Kellyville, was treated at a local hospital and released.

Clark said investigators can't figure out why Diaz turned into the path of the truck, but suspect traffic lights could be a factor.
