HOLDENVILLE, Okla. (AP) One man was killed and three others were injured early Monday when their vehicle struck a bull in Hughes County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
Douglas Wayne Hearod Jr, 27, of Holdenville, was killed in the 2:25 a.m. collision on U.S. 270.
Hearod's vehicle was eastbound when it struck a bull that was lying in the rain-slickened roadway, troopers said. The vehicle veered out of control, ran off the road and flipped end-over-end.
Three passengers suffered head and internal injuries, the patrol said. They were listed in serious condition Monday at hospitals in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
