NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ The Sooners have found their running game.
After finishing last season with four straight games without rushing 100 yards as a team, Oklahoma had two 100-yard rushers and 268 yards rushing overall in their 40-24 win over Bowling Green Saturday.
They had more yards on the ground than through the air _ something they achieved only once last season.
Kejuan Jones had a career-high 32 carries and the running game was the primary focus of the game.
Jones says the team wanted to send a message..that the Sooners have a running game, not to mention a passing game.
Heisman trophy winner Jason White threw for 238 yards, completing 21-of-31 passes, including three touchdown passes.
Freshman Adrian Peterson debuted with 100 yards and one touchdown on 16 carries after weeks of hype as the Number 1 high-school recruit in the country.
