WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ Tulsa's Mike Esposito tosses an eight-inning, one-hit shutout to pace the Drillers to a 5-nothing win over Wichita in a Texas League matchup.
After giving up his only hit in the game and walking two batters in the second inning, Esposito retired 17 straight hitters.
Tulsa got on the board early when Ryan Shealy stroked a two-RBI double in the first inning.
The Drillers picked up an unearned run in the fifth on a pair of throwing errors by Wichita pitcher Mike Natale, and then scored two more in the seventh on a two-run single by Danny Sandoval.
Mike Natale takes the loss.
The two teams meet again tonight in Wichita.
