OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The governor of Texas is paying off a bet on last year's Oklahoma-Texas football game and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is getting the winnings.
Governor Brad Henry will present 700 pounds of ground beef to the food bank in Oklahoma City Thursday.
Henry will donate 350 pounds of ground beef he won as a result of the friendly wager and local Homeland stores are matching that with another 350 pounds.
The governors of Oklahoma and Texas traditionally make a friendly wager on the OU-Texas game. OU has won the last four, including a 65-to-13 win last year.
