BOLEY, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities are searching for a man who escaped from the John Lilley Correctional Center during visiting hours.

Prison officials say Carlos Ray probably left the prison in Boley with his girlfriend.

Ray is black, 5-feet-11 and 185 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a pierced left ear.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

Ray was serving time for drug crimes and carrying contraband in a jail.
