OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Two Oklahoma City teenagers are charged with first-degree murder in the in the death of a man fatally shot while he was sitting in his car.

Eighteen-year-old Steven Chavarria and 19-year-old Joe Sayerwinnie each face charges of first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon in Oklahoma County District Court. Both are held without bail at the Oklahoma County Jail.

An eyewitness told police the two teenagers drove up next to Rocky Ruiz and Sayerwinnie shot at Ruiz. Ruiz was shot once in the face and once in his left side.

Investigators believe the shooting may be associated with Hispanic gang activity on the south side of Oklahoma City.
