We're a little over a week away from the last holiday weekend of the summer season and Thursday, local law enforcement agencies issued a stern warning.
"The message we are sending is clear, there is no room on Oklahoma highways for the impaired driver."
The "You Drink, You Drive, You Lose" initiative kicks off Friday. Several Tulsa area agencies will put more officers on the streets in an effort to bust drunk drivers. But drinking isn't the only think they'll be watching for.
"Officers throughout the state will be vigilant, speeding, restraint violations and any other collision causing violation."
The "You drink, You drive, You lose†crackdown will continue through September 12th. For more information on highway safety, visit the www.dps.state.ok.us website.
