A Tulsa woman scammed out of $100,000 got a bit of a financial relief.
The Tulsa County Sheriff’s office say 81-year old Amye Young was scammed by a man she knew all his life. Young says 22 year old James Johnson promised to do some work on her house, but ended up taking $100,000 of her money.
Deputies were able to give Young about $16,000 of her money back. Amye Young: “Well, he just might do it to somebody else if he don't get some time out of this. I hope he gets 20 years, myself, or 40, doing me dirty like this. It has really hurt me."
Johnson has already been convicted and is now awaiting sentencing.
