What kind of work would you be willing to do so you could spend more quality time with your child?

News on 6 reporter Rick Wells spent some time Wednesday with Susan Allen who was dusting, sweeping and cooking in someone else's house, so she can live life the way she wants to. "Sweep front porch and back porch." Susan Allen is going over the list of special chores this homeowner has left her. "Rake leaves by side of drive. She's just trying to keep the place spruced up."

And of course she's going to clean the bathrooms and run the vacuum and cook them dinner. In fact while I was talking with her, she started chopping vegetables. "I worked at the scooter store and got laid off."

And that's when this cleaning and cooking thing got started. She's a single mom with a 7 year old, and she realized the work she had been doing, she was on the road too much, she missed her son. “My goal is to pick up my son a 3 o'clock every day." So she started her own business called Suzie Homemaker.

She has a list of cleaning basics that she does on every visit. She's come up with a menu that looks like one you'd find in a small restaurant and she takes special requests. "Any foods you don't care for, tell me about your favorite foods, is there something your mom used to make.”

"She gets to relax, enjoy the kids, her family and not worry about anything." And Susan gets to take her son to football practice. It's a nice trade.

She cleans homes on a regular basis or for special occasions. The menu is two pages of everything from soup to dessert.
