Tulsa Public Schools is keeping an eye on eight schools in danger of being labeled low performing.

The federal No Child Left Behind Act requires schools to meet yearly progress goals. Eight Tulsa schools missed the mark for the first time this year. They are Academy Central, Cooper, Disney, Lindbergh, MacArthur, and Sandburg elementary schools. Edison and Wilson middle schools will all be watched carefully this year.

If those schools don't meet state standards next year, they could be labeled low performing and added to the school improvement list.

Tulsa Public Schools has 22 schools on that list this year.
