Retired pediatrician Bill Kennedy has opened an after hours pediatric clinic to accommodate working families. He opened the Strawberry Hill clinic three weeks ago.

Saturday was a "free clinic" day where Kennedy provided checkups, physicals, shots, and other services for families free of charge. The clinic is in a heavily Hispanic populated area, but Kennedy says it is geared to all working families especially those without insurance.

Bill Kennedy: "Our healthcare system makes it difficult for people to access care based on working hours and requires insurance so I thought I could make a difference if I didn't require insurance and I was there after hours for people."

It's a cash only clinic about $35 per patient per visit. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 5:30 to 9 PM, Saturday from 1 to 5 PM and closed on Sundays.
