OKMULGEE, Okla. (AP) _ An investigation continues into the shooting death of a man who was a material witness in an April homicide.
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown says investigators have identified a person of interest but haven't made any arrests in the death of Billy Arnold Crawford.
The 26-year-old was found July 25th near east Boston Street in Okmulgee.
Crawford was a material witness in the April 18th, 2004 shooting death of 26-year-old Juan Smith of Tulsa.
He and Roland Miles were both sought for questioning in the Smith homicide, which remains unsolved.
Miles and Crawford were released on one-thousand dollar bonds after Miles surrendered and Crawford was arrested.
