STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State football coach Les Miles says he likes what he sees from his Cowboys so far.
Miles commented after yesterday's 120-play scrimmage at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.
Tailback Vernand Morency's ten carries for 86 yards and two touchdowns gave Miles something to cheer.
But it was the defense that dominated the nearly three-hour practice.
Defensive back Darrent Williams had an interception while linebacker Lawrence Pinson and defensive linemen Marquee Fountain and Xavier Lawson-Kennedy all had sacks.
O-S-U will have a light workout today, take a break for the first day of fall classes tomorrow and resume their regular practice schedule on Tuesday.
The Cowboys open their season September fourth against U-C-L-A.
