OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ After record high prices earlier this year, the price of milk is dropping.
Oklahomans were paying between $3.25 and $4.15 in May for a gallon of milk, depending on the store.
The price this week is ranging between about $2.75 and $3.70 per gallon.
Steve Lawrence with Oklahoma Buy for Less stores says when the price went up this spring, consumption went down. And the US Department of Agriculture says milk production is increasing among the nation's dairy farmers and leading to further price drops.
