State educators announced Thursday; Oklahoma students are Raising the Grade. Both fifth and eighth-graders improved on state standardized tests in 2004.
Both grade levels posted gains in math. And the achievement gap for low-income and minority students is shrinking.
Third-grade scores remained flat from 2003 to 2004, but they're still above the national average.
