A 16 year-old boy is taken into custody after assaulting his grandfather and a Tulsa Police officer late Wednesday night.
Tulsa Police say they received a domestic violence call just before midnight. When they arrived in the 1700 block of West Marshall, officers tried to intervene. That's when the teen turned on them.
Tulsa Police Cpl Jeff Little: "The 16-year-old basically fought with officers. From what I understand, the 16-year-old grabbed one of the officer’s flashlights and attempted to hit him with it. And they had to take the individual into custody."
The officer suffered a minor cut to his chin, but will otherwise be OK. Police say the grandfather was not hurt.
The teenager faces charges of domestic assault and battery and assaulting a police officer.
