A hit and run traffic accident turns into a potentially deadly situation late Tuesday night. Authorities say a Tulsa Police officer witnessed the entire thing.

Just before midnight, an officer saw a truck hit a car near 61st and Lewis.When the suspect saw the officer, he took off and the chase was on. One officer's patrol car was rear-ended when the suspect came barreling through the intersection on Memorial.

Authorities say the officer is sore, but will be fine. The suspect was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

There's no word on his condition.
