TULSA (AP) -- Governor Henry is vowing to address changes in workers compensation law next legislative session.

Henry said during a speech in Tulsa Tuesday the issue is of top importance to the state's business leaders. He spoke to the Tulsa Metro Chamber.

Republican lawmakers blame the Democrat Henry for the Legislature's failure to address workers compensation last session.

GOP leaders also wanted Henry to add the issue to a special session called to handle the possible impeachment of Insurance Commissioner Carroll Fisher.

Henry has declined to expand the special session.

Henry's office says the governor has formed a task force to review the issue and draft workers' comp legislation.

Republicans and business groups say the state's high workers' compensation costs are driving away business and costing jobs.
