Tulsa Police are looking for a suspect who ran from them during an early Monday morning drug stop.
It happened around midnight when officers tried to stop a car near 1100 East Queen. Officers say when they approached the car; the driver dropped crack cocaine in a soda bottle and ran off on foot. He left his female passenger behind along with his ID.
They searched the area, but the suspect got away. A warrant will be issued for his arrest.
That foot chase led police to an abandoned house at 1900 North Madison. Tulsa Police say the house is known for drug activity and they thought the suspect went inside to hide. They got more than they expected when they started looking around the house.
Tulsa Police Sgt Robert Rohloff: "They discovered a body in there. That was decomposed and at least several days deceased. At this time we're investigating as a possible homicide.â€
Authorities say the state medical examiner will have to determine the exact cause of death and how long the man's been dead.
The victim's name has not been released. Police are still searching for the drug suspect.
