An investigation is underway into a fire that heavily damaged a Sapulpa landmark.

The fire broke out at the Burnett Mansion shortly after 4 AM Friday. Sapulpa Fire crews had trouble reaching the fire because it was in a crawl space between the basement and first floor.

The Burnett Mansion is a private residence that's on the National Registry of Historic places. There's no damage estimate at this time and no one was in the home at the time of the fire.
