OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Remington Park's all-time Thoroughbred wins leader is expected to pass the 1,300 win mark sometime this weekend.
Jockey Don Pettinger starts the four-day Remington session with 1,297 wins. He is battling to maintain that title while being pursued by Cliff Berry for the top spot.
Berry comes into the weekend with 1,250 Thoroughbred wins locally. Berry had 11 wins during the first four days of the season to jump to a quick lead in the jockey standings.
Remington Park's first race on Fridays and Saturdays is 6:25 PM with the Sunday and Monday matinees beginning at 1:15 PM.
