The United Way kicked off its "Trailblazer" fundraising campaign Friday night with the beginning of the Sandblazer Volleyball tournament.

The action continued Saturday with a 5-K run and more sand volleyball. This is the 16th year for the event.

200 volunteers and 11 local companies will help the United Way meet its 2004 goal of $20-million for community programs.
