GENE AUTRY, Okla. (AP) _ Two Ardmore residents were killed when the car they were in collided head-on with another car and was knocked into the path of a train.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Hiawatha Vaughn and Eddie Ray Hill died in the collision in Gene Autry.
Troopers say Vaughn and Hill were in a car driven by Vaughn that crossed the center line of state Highway 53 about 9 Wednesday night. The car crashed head-on with a car driven by Karen Willis.
Both cars came to rest inside the railroad crossing arms and Vaughn's car was hit by a Burlington-Northern Santa Fe train.
A 10-year-old boy and an 11-year-old boy in Willis' car are hospitalized in Oklahoma City while Willis escaped injury.
