OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The chairman of a legislative committee considering impeaching Insurance Commissioner Carroll Fisher says the panel will finish its work by August 26th.
The committee recessed Wednesday until August 25th after hearing testimony from two state investigators.
The investigators revealed details about the last of two multi-county grand jury indictments returned against Fisher.
Fisher was indicted last week on a felony embezzlement count alleging he placed a $1,000 campaign donation into his personal checking account.
Fisher and his assistant, Opal Ellis, were also both indicted in February on felony counts involving the operation of a charity and embezzling continuing education funds.
