An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper is recovering after crashing his SUV during a chase.

It happened about 3 PM Tuesday on South 107th West Avenue.

The trooper was chasing an all-terrain vehicle, when he had to swerve to miss a pedestrian and hit a tree. He was taken to the hospital with back and neck injuries, but is expected to be okay.

The person on the ATV got away.
