OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A federal judge is dismissing a lawsuit by an Oklahoma City police officer accused of playing golf while on duty.

Michael Nard sued the city for more than $1.5-million, claiming he was demoted from lieutenant to sergeant without due process.

Judge Tim Leonard dismissed the lawsuit, saying was given written notice of the charges against him and had an opportunity to respond.

Nard was suspended without pay after being charged with obtaining money by false pretenses for claiming he was working when he was golfing.

The charges were later dropped and Nard won a grievance against the city and was awarded $70,000 in back pay.
