Owasso city officials have approved a $1.3-million incentive proposal to help a Florida car company offset relocation costs to the area.

The Owasso city council approved the measure Monday night. City Manager Rodney Ray will begin research in offering the interest-free loan to Vanguard Car Rental U-S-A.

Vanguard is the parent company of National Car Rental and Alamo Rent-A-Car. The company is expected to bring about 600 additional jobs to the area.
