OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The chairman of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce says a deal with Dell to bring 500 computer sales center jobs to Oklahoma City is about more than just jobs.

Chairman Burns Hargis says the Dell jobs are a signal that Oklahoma City can attract bigger and better companies.

Dell is the top producer of personal computers.

Chamber of commerce President Roy Williams says Oklahoma City won the Dell site over 121 competing cities.

Dell expects to open with 300 jobs, but city and state officials predict that employment could grow into the thousands.
