It's not a new house but a lake that's going in downtown Tulsa. That's right, lakeside living in downtown Tulsa.

Village at Central Park developer Jamie Jamieson is taking the city's need for flood control in the neighborhood and is creating something much more aesthetic. "We seized on the opportunity as the 6th Street task force to combine it to make it an ornamental lake, or I should say a series of ornamental lakes."

An even larger lake is planned near 8th and Utica, which will flow down a canal between 6th and 8th streets, which will connect to the Lake at Centennial Park and another one north of 6th Street.

Jamieson hopes the lakes will spur even more development in the area. The first lake should be finished in about 18-months.
