A new poll shows former congressman Tom Coburn leading in the Oklahoma Republican primary race for the U.S. Senate. The Tulsa World and The News On 6 are teaming up on The Oklahoma Poll. The results of the latest statewide survey of registered voters reveals a very tight race where the "undecided" vote will likely determine the outcome. Coburn leads former Oklahoma City mayor Kirk Humphreys by 3% but a 3% margin of error could make the race tighter. Bob Anthony is a distant third. A geographic breakdown shows how divided the state is with regard to this race. Coburn almost doubles Humphreys in Tulsa. In Oklahoma City Humphreys has a commanding lead. But the poll suggests the race will be won "outside" Oklahoma’s two major metropolitan areas. In other parts of the state Coburn leads by about 10% right now. With such a large number of "undecided" voters, the race could go either way at this point.
