(Lafayette, Louisiana-AP) -- Officials at Louisiana-Lafayette Friday fired former Oklahoma State assistant Glynn Cyprien as its head basketball coach.
The firing comes after it was revealed Cyprien's resume says he has a bachelor's degree that he does not have.
ULL requires its head coaches to have degrees from four-year, accredited universities.
Cyprien was hired earlier this year from OSU coach Eddie Sutton's staff. He coached at OSU for four years, helping the Cowboys to the Final Four this spring.
ULL says assistant coach Robert Lee will replace Cyprien.
