(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A Tishomingo man must pay $8,000 in restitution after pleading no contest to one count of workers' compensation fraud.
Attorney General Drew Edmondson says investigators found Jackey Wayne Newton was building a bookstore while he received disability payments from his former employer's insurance company.
Newton had claimed he suffered a back injury while working as a shear machine operator for Sundowner Trailers Incorporated.
Newton must pay $8,256 in restitution and serve a five-year deferred sentence.
