Extreme heat has triggered a heat alert in the Tulsa area for the first time this year.
EMSA issues the alert when paramedics respond to five or more heat calls in a 24-hour period and when dangerously hot weather is expected to continue.
To help keep your cool, reduce outdoor activities, drink plenty of water, wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and find someplace to go with air conditioning.
