Tulsa girl remains in the hospital following fall off a bridge

A 14-year-old girl is in critical condition after falling from a bridge in west Tulsa.

Police say the girl and her 10-year-old sister were on their way to a friend's house early Saturday morning when the 14 year-old fell.

The 10-year-old girl ran to a nearby house for help. Officers tell the News on 6, it appears to be an unfortunate accident.

Tulsa Police Cpl. Brian Columns: "According to the 10-year-old girl, the 14-year-old stepped over the railing of the bridge thinking that she was going to be able to right onto the ground and didn't realize that it was about a two or three story drop-off, so when she fell two to three stories, she landed on the KATY trail."
