A man is in the Pawnee County jail after authorities say he confessed to the attempted rape and murder of a 9-year old girl.

It happened Saturday in Pawnee County, about 50 miles northwest of Tulsa. The sheriff's office says the girl's mother called authorities when she found her daughter with her face purple and tape over her mouth.

Deputies say Quinton Daggs is related to the child. They say Daggs claimed he planned to shoot the rest of the family except one man.
