(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The moving of a prairie dog colony to make room for a housing development is under way in northwest Oklahoma City.
Prairie dog relocator Mark McKee says 98 of the animals have been captured and he expects the remainder to be collected in about four days.
The prairie dogs will be held for about a week before being taken to Roger Mills County.
The prairie dog colony has been at the border of Oklahoma City and Yukon for about 50 years and animal rights advocates have protested its relocation.
