Tulsa Police had four people in custody just 15 hours after a bank robbery and shootings happened Tuesday.

By investigative standards, that's lightning fast police work. Detectives say a citizen tip started the ball rolling, then, everybody working to pull an all-nighter ended with the case solved.

News on 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright looks at how they did it.

When the robbery shooting happened inside First Fidelity Bank near 21st and Columbia, detectives didn't have a clue who did it and the surveillance tape provided no help since the robbers' faces were covered.

Here is a shortened version of how all that changed.

A Crimestoppers tip started the ball rolling. That led officers to apartments where they recovered the clothing worn in the bank robbery. That led officers to east Tulsa for a stake-out where they arrested Jeremy Williams and Dyra Malone.

Witness information next sent officers to west Tulsa where they arrested Alvin Jordan, Tulsa Police believe he and Williams did the bank job and the Ryanâ€™s convenience store heist and shooting. Then, officers scrambled to north Tulsa where they arrested Christopher Jordan. They say he was the get-away driver.

Making these arrests took a massive team effort between detectives, patrol officers, the fugitive squad and the feds. Tulsa Police Chief Dave Been: "I'm so very proud of our investigators and so proud of our relationship with the feds, the FBI and the US Marshals and their support, they were there for the arrests."

The first 72 hours of an investigation are the most crucial. That's why officers came in on their day off, refused to go to bed and worked around the clock. "When I left at 1:45 AM, the warrants squad and FBI and all of them had been there 15 hours and they didn't take a break, in fact, many of them hadn't eaten.â€

Officers were desperate to get the suspects off the street before someone else was killed and not only were the victims and their families relieved to hear of the arrests, so were many citizens of Tulsa.

Lori Fullbright got the affidavits Wednesday and they say Alvin Jordan confessed to the bank robbery and shooting and then told police that his cousin was the get-away driver.

The affidavits also say Jeremy Williams confessed to the crime to a witness and told that witness they shot the victims with the intent to kill them in order to escape.

Tulsa Police did recover at least one gun and ballistics will prove if it is the murder weapon.
